The mind map above presents the groups initial ideas that we came up with when we discussed what we were going to do for the project. At first we wanted to go with the pop genre, looking at bands and artists such as JLS, One Direction and Adele. However, during further discussions and research we decided to go with indie rock, simply because we felt we had a deeper understanding and better knowledge among us with the type of bands we were looking at. Indie rock has rapidly become one of the most popular genres within young people, even though some people may not know about it still. The group all has different experiences with the genre and different ideas when creating the music video so we feel this type of music will fit us as a group far better. 

When we chose to go with indie rock, we spent a long time researching the style, performance, music and videos so we can create a more realistic video that looks professional.
