For our music video, we have specifically focussed on the styles of two seperate bands and one artist. The bands 'The Vaccines' and 'Two Door Cinema Club' are both well known in the Indie Rock music scene, but have different styles completely. The Vaccines are extremely casual and almost scruffy in what they wear to perform, in outfits which include jeans, old jackets, shirts and scruffy shoes. On the other hand, Two Door Cinema club has more of a smart casual look to what they wear, usually wearing smart shirts and either smart trousers, chinos or jeans with some sort of jacket. However, the artist Miles Kane whos cover of 'Girl Like You' we have been looking at, is more similar to Two Door Cinema Club whilst being very different in what he wears. Miles Kane wears very vintage but smart outfits, almost channelling older bands like 'The Beatles'.
For our music video, we spoke about all three of these types of clothing, but decided that we would follow in the footsteps of Two Door Cinema with their smart casual style. We chose this because we feel that it is the most typical style of the genre (other bands also opting to use this style such as 'The Wombats' and 'White Lies') and would therefore fit our video the best.
